Pedro Pablo Errázuriz Domínguez es Ingeniero Civil de la Universidad Católica y hasta su nombramiento se desempeñaba como presidente del directorio de la empresa sanitaria Essbio.

Posee un Magíster en Ciencias de la Ingeniería en la Universidad Católica y un Master of Science in Management Science/ Operational Research/Finance en London School of Economics.

Es miembro del Consejo del Programa Regional de Investigación Científico y Tecnológico de CONICYT.

Antes de asumir la presidencia del directorio de Essbio, en mayo de 2010, fue gerente general de esa institución. Desde ese cargo encabezó el proceso de restablecimiento del servicio de agua potable en las regiones afectadas por el terremoto del 27 de febrero del año pasado, logrando normalizar rápidamente el suministro en la Región de O’Higgins y en las zonas central y cordillerana de la Región del Biobío.

También ha ocupado altos cargos ejecutivos en ENDESA, en sus filiales de Chile, Argentina y Perú. Además fue gerente de LAN Express y LAN Corporativo.

En el ámbito académico ha recibido los premios Beca Mejor Tesis de Grado, Corporación de Fomento de La Producción “Corfo” de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (1984), el Premio Nacional “Marcos Orrego Puelma” del Instituto de Ingenieros de Chile (1985) y el Premio Nacional de Ingeniería Hidráulica de La Sociedad Chilena De Ingeniería Hidráulica (1985).

Ha sido distinguido con las becas Postgrado Shell-Chile de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile y la Beca de Postgrado “Compañía Chilena de Tabacos”, en London School of Economics.

Pedro Pablo Errázuriz Domínguez has a degree in civil engineering from the Universidad Católica. Until he was named minister, he served as President of the Board of Directors at sanitation company Essbio.
He also has a master’s degree in Engineering Sciences from the Universidad Católica and a master’s degree in Management Science/Operational Research/Finance from the London School of Economics.
He is a member of the board of CONICYT’s Regional Scientific and Technological Research Program.
Before becoming the President of the Board of Directors of Essbio in May 2010, he was general manager of the company. In that post, he led the process to restore the potable water service to the regions affected by the earthquake on February 27 of last year, rapidly normalizing supply to the O’Higgins Region and the central and mountain areas of the Biobío Region.
He has also served as a senior executive at ENDESA, in its subsidiaries in Chile, Argentina and Peru.
In the academic arena, he received a fellowship for Best Degree Thesis from the Chilean Development Agency (Corporación de Fomento de La Producción, known as CORFO) at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (1984), the “Marcos Orrego Puelma” National Award from the Chilean Institute of Engineers (1985) and the National Award for Hydraulic Engineering from the Chilean Society for Hydraulic Engineering (1985).
He was also awarded a Shell-Chile graduate studies fellowship at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and the “Compañía Chilena de Tabacos” graduate fellowship at the London School of Economics.
